Katherine Wong started dancing at the age of two, and began her training at Yoko’s when she was thirteen. She earned her BFA in Dance Performance and BFA in Dance Choreography with a minor in Business from the University of California, Irvine. During her time at UCI, she performed works by Modern dance pioneers Lar Lubovitch and Donald McKayle. She was a member of Donald McKayle’s Etude Ensemble and Lisa Naugle’s DTM2 Ensemble, where she performed at various locations in Italy. She has spent the past few summers training with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Common Conservatory and Adaptations Dance Theater. As an emerging choreographer, she has presented multiple works both live and digitally at UCI and most recently produced a work with Nabla Virtual Performance Festival. In addition to dance, Katherine is a certified Pilates Instructor and is currently in a teacher training program for Embodiology®, a study of improvisation as performance.
